Embrace the Stars: Why You Should Switch to an Astrology Calendar
Wondering when does each Zodiac Season start? When is Mercury Retrograde? Astrologers seem to always have the answer, but wouldn’t it be nice to have these answers at your fingertips? An astrology calendar offers a unique approach to understanding time, allowing you to align your life with the rhythms of the universe.
As an astrologer, I made an astrology calendar that goes by zodiac season instead of by month! Now anyone can know the dates of each zodiac season and when to prepare for a retrograde without having to ask an astrologer. Let’s dive into why you should consider making the switch from a traditional monthly calendar to an astrology calendar that can help you manifest your dream life twice as fast!
Difference Between an Astrology Calendar and a Monthly Calendar
Unlike a traditional calendar that starts in January and ends in December, an astrology calendar primarily focuses on the cosmic cycles of each energetic season. Zodiac seasons resemble months, as both are around 30 days long, but what sets them apart is that they signify a period of a certain elemental energy focus. An astrology calendar will provide insights into the movement of celestial bodies, particularly the sun, moon, and planets, through the zodiac.
Long ago, calendars started with the start of spring, and it just so happens that the first zodiac sign is Aries, and Aries season starts with the beginning of spring right on or around the spring equinox. My zodiac astrology calendar goes “month by month” from Aries season to Pisces season, which signals the more true energetic end of year. When you begin your new year with Aries season, you align your desire for new goals, new resolutions, with the boost of warmth, fire and drive that the springtime offers.
Lunar Cycles in an Astrology Calendar
For ages, the moon’s cycles have affected life on the planet, telling us when to plant, harvest and tune into the rise and fall of the tides. As beings whose bodies are also made up of water, the lunar cycles also seem to affect our emotional states of being. An astrology calendar helps you track these lunar cycles, offering insights into the most optimal times for initiating projects, reflecting, or resting.
You may have heard that the new moon is ideal for setting intentions, while the full moon is a time for reflection and releasing energetic blockages. Time and time again, when I use my astrology calendar to make notes of how I’ve been feeling, what achievements I’ve made, I can see the connection between the new moon time period and the full moon time period.
Now that I understand this flow of energy, I actually pre-plan events, date nights and major project deadlines to align with the lunar cycle that is less emotional, (the week before and after the new moon).
One of the most important lunar transits to also pay attention to are the eclipse seasons. An astrology calendar will help you keep track of what happens in your life during the solar eclipse and lunar eclipse window, which usually lasts about four weeks. This marks a new chapter in our lives and can help you see ahead to when those major changes will likely happen.
Planetary Transits and Their Influence
The lunar cycle isn’t the only thing in the sky that affects our energies. Planets also move through various zodiac signs, each at their own pace, which creates a certain period of energy for all of us collectively to embody. In my astrology calendar, I have made notes of which dates a planet ingresses into a new zodiac sign (moves into a new energy period). When you are aware of this energy shift, you can start to organize your projects and plans in a way that helps you align with the energy currents in the universe effortlessly.
One of the most known energy transits is Mercury Retrograde. This planetary energy change happens about 3 times a year, each period lasting about 3 weeks. Most people notice that during a Mercury retrograde, there is an increase in miscommunications, technological setbacks, and difficulty moving projects forward.
Using your astrology calendar, you can pinpoint when this energy shift will happen, and you can plan to align with the energy instead of resisting it. Those who are most successful, use this retrograde to reflect, slow down and reorganize their thinking and planning so that when Mercury goes direct, momentum can be gained easily.
Energy Healing Using an Astrology Calendar
A zodiac calendar goes beyond just marking days; it offers a deeper understanding of the natural energy cycles we should all connect with for optimal flow in our lives. Think of how you look at a weather forecast to know how to get dressed for the day. This same principle applies to knowing what solar season it is, so that you can embody the energy of the sun sign and take actions that are most appropriate for the time of year.
Often, society primes us to stay focused on one way of living: go, go, go! This is a masculine energy that is connected to the fire and air signs. But nature’s balance has us going from masculine energy season to feminine energy season, over and over, so that our bodies can have time to be productive, but also rest and recharge for the next big burst of energy.
As soon as I started paying attention to what actions and behaviors aligned with Taurus season for example, I realized nature wants us to slow down and smell the roses so we can enjoy the rewards of our work too! Doing this has massively helped me heal energy imbalances and release a lot of internal pressure to constantly perform.
Plan time off using your birth chart and astrology calendar
Each person has a part of their birth chart that will describe when the most optimal energetic time of year is, and when you may experience a dip in your energy. You can look at your moon sign, rising sign and Chiron sign, for example, to make note of these.
Next, you can look at the astrology calendar, and mark when the moon will be a full moon in the same zodiac sign as your moon sign, to discover which full moon will likely be most emotionally transformative for you. Similarly, when the sun sign is the same as your Chiron sign, you will likely feel the biggest dip in your energy as you work through deeper healing. Taking time off at these times of year would be most ideal so you can rest and restore your energy instead of trying to push through when you have little energy left to use.
Benefits of Using an Astrology Calendar
As we have discussed, knowing when each zodiac season is, and what to focus on during each season, can help you plan and create your most optimal year! By following an astrology calendar, you can take your personal development skills to a cosmic level. You will be able to foresee energy dips and give yourself aligned time for inner healing, as well as achieve success during times of more aligned energy.
Whether you want to manifest your dream life, plan the best timing of important events, or develop a deeper connection to the universe, an astrology calendar can be a valuable tool. Embrace the stars and let their guidance illuminate your path forward!
If you are in need of further support during the year, feel free to get in touch for a birth chart check-in reading. As an astrologer, I will be able to see how the cosmic influences are impacting your energy particularly, and what lessons may need to be learned during this transformative time!
