What is a horoscope reading?

A horoscope chart reading will interpret the current or future placements of celestial bodies (planets) in the sky, as it relates to a person’s natal chart and the 12 zodiac signs. Forecasting activation of planetary alignments helps prepare a person, as well as the collective society, to understand the potential for certain energetic themes unfolding at specific times.

While horoscopes can indicate astrological tendencies and illustrate patterns of occurrences, it does not mean that those patterns are guaranteed to repeat themselves in the exact same manner. Phoenix, AZ NOONLIT SAGE’s horoscope readings are rooted in these ethics, and also use new age teachings such as manifestation, frequency healing, and law of attraction to explain the potential of how these events may unfold.

How To Read A Horoscope Chart

A combination of the planets, zodiac signs and birth chart houses gives us a clue into how your energy expresses itself. When doing a horoscope reading, we add another layer to the mix: the current day’s astrology chart!

Since everyone has a unique array of astrology placements, today’s astro-weather doesn’t affect everyone in the same way. This is where general free horoscopes miss the mark, because they can’t possibly take into account everyone’s personal planetary degrees when making predictions. You may read a general horoscope for Leo rising signs, and still you may not have anything actually aspecting your chart!

So what does an astrologer look for when doing a horoscope chart reading?

  • An astrologer lines up the two astrology charts (your personal natal chart and the current astrology) to decode what aspects are forming. This is why those numbers next to your planets are important… for example, a 20 degree Libra Sun, lining up with a 20 degree Libra Full Moon could show a powerful activation and release of shadow energy because it’s “conjunct”.

  • COMMON ASPECTS INCLUDE:
    Conjunction (Amplification)     is when planets align together within 0-10 degrees.
    Sextile (Harmony) is when planets are around 60 degrees apart.
    Trine (Synergy) is when planets are around 120 degrees apart.
    Square (Tension) is when planets are around 90 degrees apart.
    Opposition (Frustration) is when planets are around 180 degrees apart.

How to Choose a Horoscope Reader

  • Every astrologer doesn’t use the exact same methods of looking at the zodiac charts. There are a variety of methods; I use Western Astrology for my chart readings. I also use an Evolutionary Astrology and Psychological perspective, aimed toward empowering you to see all the possibilities and make choices towards becoming your highest self.

  • Astrologers also differ on the types of house systems used for a horoscope reading. Most generalized horoscopes you may find in pop astrology uses a Whole Sign house system, which sets one sign per house in the birth chart.

    I use a more specific method called the Placidus House System. This allows me to discover much more detail when looking at horoscope transits and the areas of your life that may be affected.

  • A huge red flag when it comes to certain astrologers doing horoscopes is when they say “this is exactly what will happen” or “this is going to be a bad transit”.

    Astrology is all about sharing possibilities and understanding the full spectrum of human experience. A good horoscope reader should offer you both ‘the good and the bad’ while helping you choose how to prepare for a transit. Horoscopes should not leave you feeling doomed or completely elated. You play a crucial role in how you show up to the energetic weather and the ultimate outcome that will occur.

  • Both a horoscope reading and tarot reading aim to look at your current or future situation and offer feedback. Each uses a different tool to translate this divine guidance.

    Tarot readings use tarot cards that offer symbolic interpretations, which tend to be more generalized and can have a wide variety of interpretations based on the individual tarot reader.

    Horoscope readings use an astrology birth chart, based on an individual’s time of birth, to gain a unique custom diagram of planets and zodiac sign relationships within the person. This is combined with the current astrological transits to receive an interpretation of events. A horoscope reading can offer a lot more specific detail and is very customized. While it can still vary in interpretation from astrologer to astrologer, generally horoscope readings may offer more direct concrete advice and direction.

  • It is a bit tougher to do a horoscope reading without an individual’s birth time. This is because, the birth time is connected to a person’s rising (ascendant) sign. This is the starting point for the remainder of the birth chart and will influence which houses express which zodiac sign energy.

    Since the houses show us the areas of life that a horoscope could be affecting, that is a major part of any prediction and interpretation astrologically. Without the time of birth, I could still look at some of the transits and get a general idea of what energies may be activated. This is not the whole picture, but is still worth looking at if you don’t have your exact time of birth.

  • I conduct my astrology readings using Tropical astrology and the Placidus house system. It was the way my chart was first read to me, how I’ve read hundreds of charts and found a high amount of resonance within my clients.

  • Yes, I offer birth chart readings online. If you are not local to Phoenix, AZ, I am able to meet with you via video call on Zoom or Google Meet.

  • Currently, I do not offer a recording, however you are more than welcome to audio record the reading for yourself!

  • Payments are made via my website astrology shop, and can be fulfilled through credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay. The full amount is due upon scheduling the reading.
